Monthly PPU Mass

School Chapel

Takes place at 11.15am in Muckross Park on the First Sunday of February, March, April, September, October*, November** and December.

Bring along your husband, children, boyfriend, anyone! Mass in the chapel is followed by refreshments. (*October – Annual Mass for the Combined Dominican Schools Unions and ** the Mass in November is offered for all deceased past pupils).

MARCH 2013

Union Day & AGM – Sunday 3rd March 2013 in Muckross Park
Mass at 11.15am is followed by the AGM and refreshments. If you are interested in joining the committee this year please email us asap. We only meet 7 times a year so it won’t take up much of your time.

ANNUAL DINNER – Friday 19th April 2013

The Dinner took place in the Stillorgan Park Hotel on 19th April and we had a great night. The class of 1973 were there celebrating 40 years and the class of 1953 celebrated 60 years! In 2014 if you are  celebrating 20, 25, 30, 35, 40, 50 or 60 years since leaving school why not arrange a class reunion at the 2014 dinner. That includes Muckross ‘Old Boys’ too! The date for 2014 will be announced as soon as arranged.

MAY 2013

VIP Shopping trip to Kildare Village – 21st May

 We are delighted to announce that we have arranged a trip to Kildare Village on Tuesday 21st May.  The trip includes complimentary transfers from Dublin, meet and greet on arrival, glass of bubbly, exclusive access to the VIP Lounge throughout the stay and a VIP discount card. We will depart from the car park of St. Theresa’s church on The Rise, Mount Merrion at 9.45am. Cars may be parked there for the day. Return to Dublin will be around 3.30pm.

Muckross Golf Society – Annual Outing

OCTOBER 2013

Combined Dominican Unions’ Mass
The annual Mass for the past pupils of ALL Dominican schools in Ireland takes place in the chapel in Muckross Park, Marlborough Road, Donnybrook, Dublin 4 on Sunday 6th October 2012 at 11.15am. Mass in the chapel is followed by refreshments. If you know anyone who attended Ballyfermot, Cabra, Dun Laoghaire, Eccles St/Griffith Ave, Falls Road, Fortwilliam, Muckross, Portstewart, Santa Sabina, Sion Hill, Taylors Hill or Wicklow or any Dominican school please let them know and bring them along.

HOCKEY MATCH – PAST PUPILS v SCHOOL TEAM

The second annual match will take place on Sunday 6th October 2013 at 12.30pm in Muckross.  Last year on Centenary Day, the school team won 3 – 2.  So we want a strong team of past pupils for 2013 to regain the Centenary Cup. Santa Party

The Santa Party will take place on Sunday 1st December 2013 at 12 noon in Muckross Park. (PPU members only) Advance booking is essential so Santa knows how many presents to bring for everyone. Only 40 places available so priority will be given to past pupils whose membership subscriptions are up to date.

class=”western” style=”margin-bottom: 0in;”>The Playschool Projects in Cape Town, which are run by Dominican sisters, are one of the projects to benefit from the generosity of Muckross Past Pupils’ fundraising. Our donation to them last year ensured that the children got one full meal every day.
